Make A Difference for Stronger Bicycle Access in SW Washington While in Your Pajamas!
You can still make your voice heard about wanting better bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure for the upcoming Washington State Transportation budget scheduled to be up for vote later this year. It’s important they hear from SW Washington residents how important stronger bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure is to our communities. The infrastructure gets ridden and walked by us and it improves our towns.
Giving your two cents at home in your pajamas! You don’t have to even get off the couch. Could doing your civic duty get any better?
The Washington State Transportation Commission will be sending out a survey in the next week or two (Late October 2013) asking what are Washington residents’ transportation priorities. The completed survey will be presented to state legislators for the upcoming state transportation budget vote. In order to receive the survey, you need to register at the site http://www.voiceofwashingtonsurvey.org/
We need people like you who get it - who understand how much greater this community can be if the state focused real transportation dollars towards stronger bicycle and pedestrian development in concert with the automobile. Better trails for a healthier community, safer routes for children to get to school and for us to get to work.
Please do this. It really matters. How could you not? You don’t have to get dressed. You don’t have to shower - revel in your nappy, greasy hair. Think of it as Mr. Smith goes to Washington meets Slacker. That’s chocolate and peanut butter.
